Mr. Pete’s Playhouse is set to bring you an energetic, interactive show packed with educational songs that have a lively Afro-Caribbean beat. Get ready to clap your hands, stomp your feet, and jump up and down with Mr. Pete!

DESOTO ROSE

DeSoto Rose is one of Houston's favorite cover bands performing Americana, Classic Rock, Indie, and a few 80s/90s throw-backs for fun.  The band's wide variety of influences comes through in their set list. DSR has played some great venues in Houston including: Bayou City Arts Festival, HKDM, Lights in the Heights, Heights Holiday Home Tour, EQ Heights, Platypus Brewery, the Houston Law Rocks Battle of the Bands at White Oak Music Hall, Shady Acres, Cottonwood, and the Last Resort Music Festival.

LEGACY

The Kashmere Stage Band was an elite performing unit of the student band at Kashmere High School from the late 1960s until 1978, led by the great Conrad Johnson. They played heavy soul, funk and jazz, and this year, members of their Alumni join us on the main stage for this year’s HKDM. Check out the documentary about the group, Thunder Soul, with Jamie Foxx.
