Music, hear our cry!
Music, hear our voice!

The sound of dancing,

Lyrics hang in the air
We sing with our hearts in full bloom

Tapping shoes
Microphone on

Beyonce
Whitney Houston
Travis Scott;
Inspire

Little hearts like flowers in the sage, of fluorescence
Waiting to have a change
to have the adroitness of
YOU
From such
Simple words
In a beat
But so strong

Love
Death
Pain

All types of songs

So music, if you can hear
People will agree
You travel
To all's
Ears
Warmly

So many people love you
We do!
So keep going!
Keep Inspiring!
Carry on your message!
Do what you have been doing!

Music, hear our cry!
Music, hear our Voice!

I suddenly want to move,
To dance.

My wrists are twisting,

My friends are dancing
They're with me, too,
Laughing.

Music Moves Me

We are not all the same
but we all love the music in Houston.

When we are sad or down
we just turn on the radio.

It always turns our day around
because we all love it in Houston.

Everywhere you go
you find the music in your soul.

"My Roots"
It's complicated to write a poem,
But it's simple to plant a seed.
but to me, I think
it's simple,
even now...
I am what I am. I'm an Arab,
A Malaysian, a Greek,
and an American. it's simple,
even now...
I feel everything.
I feel. I feel...curiosity,
I feel diversity, I feel exploration.
I feel. I feel...
INSPIRATION!

Writer's Name: Ava B.

They say everything is bigger in Texas,
BUT
Nothing’s bigger than the taste of culture in H-Town.
From crawfish sushi on Bellaire
Bratwurst and Wiener Schnitzel on T C Jester
To crane juice and Pani Puri on Hillcroft
Or jerk chicken on W Bellfort.
We say:
Chao mung
Witamy
benvenuto
Bienvenue

اهلا بيك ('ahlaan bik)
We say WELCOME.

Houston Heights Music

by Cassie C., Sinclair Elementary School

White oak trees
Line the streets
Setting in the sunset
Off in the breeze

Music can send
Colors at my feet
Runs in the air
Just move to that beat

Hum a tune
Strum a melody
Add the bass
Play it endlessly

Sound and sights
Play so strong
Houston Heights
It’s where I belong

There’s music everywhere
Like in the pool
Splash! Splash! Splash!

There’s music everywhere
Like when you mash potatoes
Mash! Mash! Mash!

There’s music everywhere
Like when you turn your lights on
Flash! Flash! Flash!

Splash! Mash! Flash!
